Business Decorating Challenge
Get your business involved in the 42nd Annual Sea Cavalcade celebration
This year marks the 42nd anniversary of the Sea Cavalcade Festival. As part of the 2010 celebration, the festival committee would like to invite your business to this popular event.
All local businesses are encouraged to decorate their business during the festival week of July 14 to 25 to help promote the festival and this year's theme, “Rockin' and Rollin' By the Sea.” You could use the 50's decade to enter in this fun business challenge.
Create a stunning display for the Sea Cavalcade, you and your staff could get in the mood to dress according to the theme or just have fun decorating your business (you can paint windows, create a scene or incorporate products or services if you wish). Get in the spirit of this year!
Judging and prizes will be based on the Most Original, Best Representation of Festival Theme, Staff Apparel Participation, Most helpful to promote the festival, Outside Display and Inside Display.
If your business is interested in participating in the Business Display Challenge for this year's festival, please complete the entry form. Additional entry forms will be available at the Gibsons & District Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Gibsons Hall, Talbot Insurance, Sunshine Credit Union or by contacting Marilyn Pederson.
Completed entry forms must be received by Friday July 16th. Displays should be ready by Monday July 19th.
Every year, we hear about someone who missed this opportunity, so don't let that be YOU! Even if it is just for the fun of it, come out, come out, come out and show us who you are by decorating your business!
Judging will take place on Thursday July 22nd, 2010.
Awards will be presented during the opening ceremonies on July 23rd, for the first, second, and third places to display in your business.
