Welcome from your 2010 Sea Cavalcade Committee
Well, here we are on the brink of the big family 2010 Sea Cavalcade. We started our planning with hopes of a smooth road but the road had more curves to negotiate. It soon became apparent that we needed to restructure the committee in order to meet the growth of the festival.
So, we hit some rocks and then we did some rolls, and the result is that our 2010 Sea Cavalcade is bigger and better than ever before! And now, we are all ready to really 'Rock and Roll' with family fun for all.
Yes, the old favourites are still happening ... And now, look what's new ....
Friday, Lower Gibsons will rock and roll with our Elvis contest and special entertainment.
Saturday, The Fraser Blues planes will fly three winners of our draw. Brothers' Park in Upper Gibsons will host Family Day,
and Driftwood players will be entertaining families with drama.
And Brothers' Park will be the venue for a special Skateboard show at 2:00pm.
The Sunshine Coast Roller Derby Girls invite all of you to bring your roller skates/blades to the Community Centre Arena, to enjoy the roller derby demonstration and roller dance.
Sunday will be hosting a wooden boat exhibition at Holland Park, followed by Party in The Park with great family fun, entertainment, and food at Dougall Park.
So, from all of us to you, COME, ENJOY, the food, fun and entertainment. And drop by our booths throughout the weekend to buy a raffle ticket, to share your thoughts on our 2010 Sea Cavalcade, to give us ideas for 2011 and to see how you can join us in planning this wonderful event for next year. We really appreciate all who will be volunteering their time and skills to the success of this community event.
